For security and identity verification purposes, the most reliable and immediate way to reset your Synthesis PACS password is to contact the HPRA IT. Do not attempt to guess your password repeatedly, as this may lock your account and cause delays.

Locate the patient's exam in your worklist (e.g., Pending or Completed tab). Click the three-dot menu (...) associated with that exam. Select the Upload docs option in the dialog box that appears, fill out the necessary descriptive fields. Select the file(s) you need to upload. Click Upload.
Click on the Completed tab on your main PACS screen. This tab displays all exams that have been finalized (dictated, signed, and saved) by a radiologist.Use the Search/Filter bar at the top of the screen to narrow down your results. You can search by: • Patient Name • Medical Record Number (MRN) • Accession Number • Date Range (often the most helpful filter)Once you locate the study, click on it to open the exam. The final, signed report will be displayed. You can typically find options to print or export the report directly from this viewing screen.
Use the 'Notes' tab within the exam window. Your name and timestamp will automatically appear
The accession number must be corrected in the facility's EMR/RIS (Electronic Medical Record/Radiology Information System) where the order originated. Once corrected, the images should be resent from the modality with the new, correct accession number to merge with the existing exam record. Do not contact the radiologist or HPRA IT for an accession number change; they cannot perform this action within Synthesis. The correction must begin at the source (EMR/RIS).
In Synthesis you can’t burn CD’s, but you can share study access for 24 hours using email.

Step 2: Upload the File to the Study Once the document is saved as a file, use the "Upload Documents" feature within Synthesis: 1. Locate the exam in your worklist (e.g., Pending or Completed tab). 2. Click the three-dot menu( : ) to the right on the exam. 3. Select 'Upload Documents'. 4. In the Upload documents dialog box, enter the required information (like Document Name). 5. Drag to upload the file you saved in Step 1, or use the file chooser. 6. The uploaded document will be visible to the radiologist under the Current Documents tab.
